Mary in the Mirror's debut single "Monster" fuses melancholic vocals with a heavy bass line and hip-hop groove with a definitive Bristol flavour, the song describes a saddened soul after a relationship has gone wrong, when you no longer recognise yourself, because you have morphed into a jealous, broken, twisted “monster”.
